By creating an account or using Clipto, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
Clipto is a URL shortening service offering:
Free plan: up to 10 links, 1 campaign, 10 contacts, 7-day analytics, QR codes, auto-generated slugs.
Pro plan: up to 1,000 links, 50 campaigns, 500 contacts, custom slugs, password protection, link expiry, 1 year analytics history, data export.
You may not use Clipto to shorten or distribute URLs that lead to:
You also may not circumvent rate limits or plan limits, automate or bulk-create links outside features we explicitly offer, attack or disrupt our infrastructure, or resell the service as a competing link shortener.
We reserve the right to remove individual links, suspend accounts, or terminate accounts that violate these rules — with or without notice — at our sole discretion.
You are solely responsible for the destination URLs you shorten and the content you point them to. Clipto acts as a neutral conduit and does not review, endorse, or verify destination content. You retain ownership of any content you submit; you grant us a limited licence to store, process, and serve your links solely to provide the service.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must provide a valid email address and verify it to use the service. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, and must notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
Pro subscriptions are billed at the price and interval shown at checkout, processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, our Merchant of Record. Paddle handles payment processing, VAT, and tax compliance — your payment contract for the transaction itself is with Paddle. Prices shown at checkout include any applicable VAT for your jurisdiction.
You may cancel at any time from your dashboard. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Pro access until then.
If a payment fails, your subscription enters a "past due" state and we will retry collection over a short grace period. If payment is not recovered, your account is downgraded to the Free plan and Pro features become unavailable. Your data and links are not deleted as a result of downgrade, but features and limits revert to the Free plan.
Because you may cancel at any time and retain access for the remainder of your billing period, we generally do not offer refunds. If you subscribed by mistake, you may request a refund within 48 hours of purchase by contacting us — we will review these on a case-by-case basis. Beyond 48 hours, no refunds are issued for partial billing periods. Refunds required by applicable law (including the EU consumer right of withdrawal where applicable) are honoured regardless of this policy.
If we terminate your account for a material breach of these terms, no refund will be issued. If we terminate your account for any other reason, we will issue a pro-rata refund for unused paid time.
We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features with reasonable notice where practicable. Scheduled and emergency maintenance may cause temporary unavailability.
No data guarantee. While we take reasonable measures to protect your data, we do not guarantee that your data — including links, click analytics, campaigns, contacts, or any other content — will be preserved indefinitely or that it will not be lost due to hardware failure, software error, security incident, or any other cause. We do not provide user-accessible backups or data recovery services.
You are responsible for maintaining your own copies of any data that is important to you. We recommend exporting your data regularly using the export features available in your dashboard.
Clipto is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, except where required by applicable law. We make no warranty or representation regarding data preservation, backup, availability, or recoverability.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, lost profits, lost data, or business interruption arising from use of the service, including but not limited to loss of or inability to access stored links, analytics data, campaigns, contacts, or any other user content. Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
You may delete your account at any time from your dashboard settings. Account deletion permanently removes your personal data and links within 30 days, as described in our Privacy Policy. Billing records may be retained for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
We may update these terms from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. If you do not agree to the updated terms, you may close your account before the effective date. Continued use of the service after that date constitutes acceptance.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Slovak Republic, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights you may have under the law of your country of residence.
